Sagamore Hills is located in the northeast section of DeKalb County, Georgia, bordered, roughly, by Briarcliff Rd., Clairmont Rd, LaVista Rd, and Oak Grove Rd. The subdivision features a preponderance of ranch homes built in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. Sagamore Hills is noted as a quiet, residential area and for the mature trees and landscape which add to the graceful Southern environment. Residents are an eclectic mix of young and old, original owners and newcomers, professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, and as well as retirees. Residents enjoy a warm, neighborly social life.
Sagamore Hills boasts nearby churches, schools, restaurants, business establishments, two swimming clubs with close proximity to Emory University, Oglethorpe University, CDC, and downtown Atlanta. The airport is less than a half-hour by car.

The Sagamore Hills Civic Association was formed by the residents of the subdivision as it was being built to allow residents to work together to maintain a desirable quality of life. The Association maintains entrances to Sagamore Hills, actively participates in zoning issues, and organizes mutually beneficial activities. Sagamore Hills is protected by the Sagamore Hills Infill Overlay
